Protein-Packed Beef Burgers with Tahini-tomato Sauce

5/5 (2)

Ingredients

instructions

  • Step 1.

In a large bowl, combine the mince, egg, oat bran, Chilli and Garlic Pesto, salt and pepper. Mix well to combine.

  • Step 2

Shape into 4 large patties and set aside.

  • Step 3.

To make the tahini-tomato sauce, whisk together all the ingredients in a bowl. If the sauce is too thick, add one tablespoon of water at a time until you reach your desired consistency.

  • Step 4.

Add a tbsp of oil to a frying pan over medium heat and fry the patties for 4 minutes on each side, or until cooked through. Top with cheese slices and remove from the pan to let the cheese melt.

  • Step 5.

To build your burgers, place lettuce and tomato slices on the bottom bun. Top with the beef patty, sliced red onion and pickles. Spread tahini-tomato sauce on the top bun and top your burgers.
