Protein-Packed Beef Burgers with Tahini-tomato Sauce
Up your burger game this summer with these protein-packed beef burgers. The tahini-tomato sauce gives it a boost of savoury deliciousness. A must try!
Ingredients
- For the patties
- 500g lean beef mince
- 1 egg
- ½ cup Chantal Organics Oat Bran
- 1 tsp Chantal Organics Chilli and Garlic Pesto
- Salt and pepper
- For the tahini-tomato sauce
- ¼ cup Chantal Organics Whole Tahini
- 4 tbsp Chantal Organics Tomato Ketchup
- 1 tbsp Chantal Organics Apple Cider Vinegar
- Salt & pepper
- To serve
- 1 pack of 4 brioche burger buns
- ½ lettuce or cos, leaves separated
- 2 tomatoes, sliced
- Sliced cheese
- Thinly sliced red onion
- Pickles

Step 1.
In a large bowl, combine the mince, egg, oat bran, Chilli and Garlic Pesto, salt and pepper. Mix well to combine.

Shape into 4 large patties and set aside.

To make the tahini-tomato sauce, whisk together all the ingredients in a bowl. If the sauce is too thick, add one tablespoon of water at a time until you reach your desired consistency.

Add a tbsp of oil to a frying pan over medium heat and fry the patties for 4 minutes on each side, or until cooked through. Top with cheese slices and remove from the pan to let the cheese melt.

Step 5.
To build your burgers, place lettuce and tomato slices on the bottom bun. Top with the beef patty, sliced red onion and pickles. Spread tahini-tomato sauce on the top bun and top your burgers.
