Vegan Hot Chocolate

​A warming winter treat, ideal for cosy nights in. Packaged in a sweet glass jar, it’d make a cute gift too. Recipe courtesy of Teresa Poljanic.


  • ​8 tbsp golden sugar
  • ½ cup cacao powder
  • 3 tsp Chantal Organics Arrowroot Powder
  • 1 tsp Chantal Organics Ginger Powder
  • 1 tsp Chantal Organics Ground Cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground cardamom
  • A pinch of Chantal Naturals Sea Salt Fine
  • A pinch of cayenne pepper

To make and serve

  • 6 cups almond milk (we love Isola Bio)
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence


​1. In a bowl, mix together all of the ingredients. Add to a glass jar and seal.

To make and serve

1. Add hot chocolate mix to a pot with almond milk

2. Whisk together and simmer for 8 minutes

3. When the hot chocolate begins to thicken, pour into mugs and enjoy!

We love ours topped with marshmallows for an indulgent winter treat.
